About The Jacobs Gallery
Located in the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, the non-profit Jacobs Gallery presents visual art, primarily by local and regional artists, that interests and engages the community. Exhibiting artists have the opportunity and are encouraged to participate in an Artist Insight Gallery Talk, giving viewers an understanding of their artistic methods and the creative process.

The Jacobs Gallery is funded through the generosity of private donations, exhibit sponsors, the City of Eugene and the sale of art work. The exhibition space within the Hult Center for the Performing Arts is donated by the City of Eugene. Beverly Soasey, the Gallery Director is assisted by volunteers of the Jacobs Gallery Board of Directors, Gallery Guides, and many arts enthusiasts.

The Jacobs Gallery is open one hour prior to and during all Hult Center performances and serves as a public reception area. Works exhibited must be suitable to the space and its functions. The Jacobs Gallery regular hours are Tues. – Fri., 12 to 4 pm and Sat., 11 am to 3 pm.

The Gallery schedules a limited number of one person exhibitions. More commonly, two or more artists are scheduled to share the exhibition space. While artists are expected to have an ample body of work, you are encouraged to apply without the expectation of filling the gallery space. The gallery attempts to combine artists in a thoughtful and aesthetically sensitive way, with the goal of creating interesting and stimulating exhibits.
